Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have (see return process above), and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Although Mini Split Systems Direct is NOT responsible for shipping damage, if your item(s) do arrive damaged, please send photos to info@minisplitsystemsdirect.comand we can assist with filing a claim against the shipping carrier to cover the cost of damages.
Any damages or missing items have to be noted on the delivery receipt prior to signing for and accepting your shipment in order to file a claim. Do not let the delivery driver rush you. It is your right to inspect each and every item.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have (see return process above), and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

I was pleased to find easy to understand instructions on use. I temporarily set this up with the gravity drain until I have time to mount it and use the pump drain feature. They do include both size drain hoses. Another great feature is the "memory start" feature which restores your settings after a power outage. The instructions were very simple to read and understand. This unit is very quiet and rated at 55 decibels. Being energy star rated is another plus.

Great Dehumidifier in a small package
I own a Mold Remediation and Water Restoration company and we use several Dehumidifiers. Some of them are quite large and won't fit in spaces that we need to. i found this Dehumidifier on Mini Split Systems Direct and it looked like the perfect size for our crawlspace work. I just received it last week and we had an opportunity yesterday to try it out, It is the only Dehumidifier that we have that fit through this crawlspace opening in the floor, we were also lucky that the drain hose and power cord are long enough to reach the only outlet we had available to us outside of the crawlspace. It operated fine all day long, did not take up very much space and my guys said they had no problems getting it in and out of the opening. I will definitely purchase another one to add or our equipment stock.

We had a job that the plumbing in crawlspace had been leaking for a long time. We extracted all the water but there was still ALOT of mud. After leaving this dehumidifier a few days the mud started to harden. This machine is doing a great job pulling out all the moisture from this 900sf crawlspace. Great machine! I highly reccomend it for moist crawlspaces! Plus the price was really fair compared to other brands!

Four years ago I paid $12,000 to replace my AC central unit for my home 8100 ft.² , the unit doesn’t work in every room so I decided to buy eight Mr. cool units and place them around my home. This unit surpassed every expectation I had. I researched mini splits for a year. (Barn rehab) I talked to people that have them and read a ton of reviews. I was told it is all about customer service. I got someone on the phone while my heating and cooling guy was standing right there.☆☆☆☆☆!! Then he made the simple connections and turned it on. I am in complete awe. Within 5 minutes the area was warming. I bought 24,000 btu for my 1000sqft area and it is outstanding. Now I will wait to see how efficient it is on electric. Fingers crossed. I would highly recommend this unit!!

Very Happy After A Month of Operation
Purchased 24KBtu unit for a 14x65 2Br Mobile Home. Relatively straightforward installation, but not for everyone. I made a dumb mistake in wiring between the indoor unit and outdoor, resulting in an error, so I called Mini Split Systems Direct up and we got it resolved. Purchased a vacuum pump, gauges, and line set covers from Mini Split Systems Direct to complete the project.
It has worked great since I rectified my wiring mistake. It's only been in heat mode (Jan in NC), and generates impressive heat and airflow at next to zero noise. The condenser unit outside is also very quiet. Time will tell on the reliability and efficiency, but everything I've seen thus far makes me optimistic.

Efficient, compact, possible to DIY install
Pretty quiet and compact unit, managed to DIY install 3 ton myself including ductwork, custom plenums and new electrical / drainage / thermostat wiring in 3 full weekends. Quick connect lineset made this possible (no vacuum or soldering needed!) Seems to be pretty efficient so far (northern california climate)

Love being able to install all by myself.
I take pride in my work and feel confident that my install was done better then hiring an HVAC company. I know many in that profession get their feelings hurt when you bring up doing it yourself. Was quoted $9k for system replacement and I was able to do for less than $4k. This is not for your average DYI person as custom duct work and electrical upgrades will likely be needed. I had about 31 hours into this replacement. That includes tarring out, pouring concrete pad, custom duct work, electrical upgrades, and system calibration. If your line set length is going to be close I recommend going up a size. I had planned to have about 6ft extra but due to line hookup locations I had just the right amount.
I had to call Mini Split Systems Direct support to ask about my thermostat compatibility and they were helpful.

Exceeded Expectations
I'm very happy with the results of this unit. The ac works amazingly well compared to the older carrier air conditioner. The lines were very hard to bend without damage and I would suggest have a line-set with elbows where needed installed. The unit is very quiet and worked with my Nest Thermostat.

Very impressed with the ease of intall and quality
The item was shipped quickly and arrived ahead of schedule. Unfortunately, after unpacking I noticed some damage on the outdoor condensing unit. This was a little concerning because I had to install it pretty quickly in order to get the air back on. I contacted. Mini Split Systems Direct and they got back with me within a few hours. I sent them some photos and a description and they took care of it immediately. The new part was shipped free of charge and arrived. Just a couple of days later.
Everything has been installed and working perfectly, I’m very pleased with both the product and Mini Split Systems Direct for fixing an issue that they may not have even created. so often you have people passing the buck, but they took care of me and I thank them for that. I would not hesitate to order from them again.
As for the Mr. cool unit and line set, it did take two people to install it and a little bit of troubleshooting with the thermostat, but it is working perfectly now for the last couple of weeks even in quite hot weather. The inside unit is extremely quiet, I used it to replace an old air conditioner which was much louder.
Time will tell if the annual energy consumption/cost goes down and how long it will last, but the workmanship seems to be very high-quality.

DIY Gas Pack Conversion
I've done AC work in the past but not at this level. This DIY kit made it easier as the lines were already charged, and no vacuum needed. My challenge was removing an old 3-ton Rheem propane gas-pack (see pic) which was R-22 and installed in the mid 80's in my 1792 farmhouse.
It took weeks to complete because of the ductwork that needed to be removed from the crawlspace and I had to fabricate ductwork including the air handler now located in the house (see pic).
I waited right before summer to do this job and have lots of pics and info on the Levi Creecy website.
living in NC our winters are not terrible, so I did not buy the heat pump model and opted for the heat kit.
My old unit was 3 tons and ran on a 50 amp breaker, now runs on a 35 amp, This Mr. Cool is very quite in comparison, AC Outputs are very impressive. Yes, my electric bill went down this summer.
My SENSI smart thermostat had to be rewired and reprogramed however I'm not missing any functions/features.

I purchased this fan to exhaust warm air from a home theater equipment rack. With all the equipment turned on, the temperature in the rack quickly climbs to over 90 degrees. The equipment rack is recessed into a closet under a set of stairs, so goal was to activate the fan to pull warm air out as soon as the temperature rose to 80 degrees at the top of the rack. With the controller, it can be set to automatically and progressively increase fan speed after the temperature hits the target. Every 2 degrees after the target the fan can increase speed by 1 step.
PROs:
> Very quiet at fan speed 1 and 2. At 10, this fan pushes a lot of air.
> Controller allows multiple control options - I just needed the high temperature option
> Easy to install with the mounting plate - I got this mounted and installed in under 30 minutes.
> Fan direction can easily be changed. The fan module just pulls out and you can change airflow without uninstalling - this is great to test whether pushing cold air in vs. pulling warm air out works better for your application.
> Nice long temp/humidity probe and cable let me place the sensor exactly where I needed it.
> Ability to place the controller wherever you want it as well.
> Works seamlessly with their matching 4-inch flexible ducting, and wall mount duct grille.
> Comes with two duct clamps
> High quality construction -- strong mounting bracket, and thick plastic casing.
CONS:
> At speeds between 3 to 10 you definitely know it is running, though it is probably quieter than other fans.
> I have this mounted to a wood support. At high fan speeds the motor vibration does reverberate through the wood supports - so need to play with how to isolate the fan if noise is important.
> Controller settings are very complex given what you would typically want to do. To set the fan to turn on at 80 degrees and increment speed in steps as temps rise took a bunch of menu hopping and instruction manual reading -- not intuitive. In contrast this was a very simple setup on their AIRCOM fans.
> Don't like the fact that in AUTO mode, multiple sensors can affect whether the fan turns on... Took a couple days to dial it in. High temp, low temp, high humidity, low humidity... hard to predict when the fan will turn on... I get this is geared for agricultural use, but setup is more complex than it needed to be.

Made a huge difference in my room temp
(Update 8.3.2024)One complaint. Because the new Bluetooth display goes in 0.1 increments (e.g. 64.9, 65.0, 65.1), the fans tend to rev up and down several times before settling in and remaining on. This makes it kind of distracting and often wakes me up because it goes up and down before remaining on. Other than that still a tremendous value. Maybe the makers can release a firmware update that has the temperature going in straight number increments instead of 0.1 increments.(Update 06/14/2024)As of this date, they still can't vouch highly enough for this type of product. Through the winter it kept my rooms warmer where needed, and during the warm months kept my rooms on the second floor much cooler than without it. I recently purchased another one a couple of days ago because it had a 5% discount. I actually ended up getting a different model that actually incorporates Bluetooth and an app. That just made the value of this product jump up quite a bit. It's model AC-RBF4-W. I'm wondering if it's brand new in the model lineup because I can't find documentation on it anywhere, but so far it's been actually really nice having Bluetooth connectivity so that I don't have to go down to floor level to adjust any settings if I wanted to. Plus it's nice to see what the temperature in the room is without having to get out of bed. Super lazy person here lol. Anyway, if you're on the fence, I can honestly say they've been worth it. It has a thermal probe that registers the temperature of the air coming from the vent. Therefore, if you want the product to push cold air during the summer, you want the fans to kick on when the temperature of the air coming from the vent is at or lower than the temperature preference you set. For example, my room routinely got as high as 78°F during the summer, so I set my cooling trigger to 72°, so any air that is that temp or below will be pushed into my room. My room now regularly stays around 72 degrees.Now the opposite will be true during the winter. My room can get very cold. As low as 55°. That's freezing in the winter time. So I set the heating trigger to, say, 75°. That means any air coming from the vent that is that temp or higher, will turn the fans on to push the warm air into my room, thereby making it warmer quicker.Hope they helps those who have trouble understanding what the unit does. Just remember, it's NOT a thermostat.
