I have a decent sized home which includes a 1500 sq ft finished basement and a garage built on a concrete slab that is about 500 sq feet. The concrete in these areas, plus the basement being below ground level, creates a substantial moisture issue. I have run 2 dehumidifiers Simultaneously in the past in my basement alone. In comparing the performance, the sentinel amazed me by pulling more moisture in a shorter amount of time all with running less often. I’m going to save in electric as well by running 1 vs 2 at a time.
My mother in law lives in our basement and she is pleasantly surprised with how quiet it runs. I’m very satisfied with the product. The sentinel is lightweight and easy to carry / move. Comes with a very nice drain hose and easy to remove / clean filter. One other side note- I’ve had a dehumidifier and other mail packages arrive to me In the past damaged - I highly doubt you will experience this with the sentinel as it is very well packaged. Overall very impressed.

Great price and product
The dehumidifier was very easy to setup out of the box. The compact size makes it easy to transport and is pretty light in weight. Plugged in the unit and started working with no issues. Good for a crawlspace, a small room, or to compliment a large Dehumidifier in a large room.

Great For Mississippi Crawlspace
We have been using this dehumidifier for about four or five months and it is doing an excellent job in our crawlspace. We live in Mississippi where the daily humidity can be 80 to 90% during summer days. When I installed this dehumidifier in our crawlspace, the relative humidity down there was hovering between 95 and 98%. Within about two weeks that humidity level dropped to around 65%. It has remained at 65% or lower throughout the last few months and has helped the mold and mildew in our crawlspace considerably.
The only maintenance we have had is to clean the filter one time.
I will admit, it was a bit difficult getting the drain line to function correctly, I would certainly recommend a cheap condensation pump, but once you get it set up, it seems to work very well. Hopefully it will hold up long-term. We plan on buying a second unit to place deeper into the crawlspace to try to keep our humidity levels closer to around 40%. But so far this dehumidifier is doing its job very very well.

Great basement dehumidifier
After my dehumidifiers kept dying every year I wanted to try something new. Got this new blue unit and so far so good! Blue, White and Gold versions are all the same, just differences in color. I chose blue because it was the cheapest.
I set up the dehumidifier in a back unfinished room that’s always damp and ducted the dry air trough a vent into the finished area of the basement. Everything is super dry and fingers crossed the unit lasts.
For the drain water, I have it dripping into a condensation pump that pushes the water into a waste pipe.
Only con is that the fan is a little loud but I’ve connected the external remote to easily turn off the unit.
Very well thought out product. I turned this from an upflow unit to a downflow with a 10kw heat strip. The air handler unit was a perfect fit from my old one (35 year old Lennox) so I didn’t have to do any sheet metal work which was nice. I used the 25 ft diy lineset which I was impressed with the no kink lineset. Made it much easier to make bends without kinking. Hooking up the lineset to the A coil and condenser was a breeze. I was impressed with the design, they put a lot of work into making this an install friendly unit. Their technical support was very knowledgeable. I’ve only been able to run the heat pump, the unit has very good air flow. If they were a little bit cheaper on their gas furnace units I would start putting these in my rentals.

Complete DIY Kit
I was pleased to find this kit for my heat pump replacement project. I’ve never done any ductwork, so was reluctant, but was pleasantly amazed at the finished job using this kit. The secret is to first do layout drawings for what you need, then factor in the overlaps, and then double check before you start cutting.

Four years ago I paid $12,000 to replace my AC central unit for my home 8100 ft.² , the unit doesn’t work in every room so I decided to buy eight Mr. cool units and place them around my home. This unit surpassed every expectation I had. I researched mini splits for a year. (Barn rehab) I talked to people that have them and read a ton of reviews. I was told it is all about customer service. I got someone on the phone while my heating and cooling guy was standing right there.☆☆☆☆☆!! Then he made the simple connections and turned it on. I am in complete awe. Within 5 minutes the area was warming. I bought 24,000 btu for my 1000sqft area and it is outstanding. Now I will wait to see how efficient it is on electric. Fingers crossed. I would highly recommend this unit!!

Very Happy After A Month of Operation
Purchased 24KBtu unit for a 14x65 2Br Mobile Home. Relatively straightforward installation, but not for everyone. I made a dumb mistake in wiring between the indoor unit and outdoor, resulting in an error, so I called Mini Split Systems Direct up and we got it resolved. Purchased a vacuum pump, gauges, and line set covers from Mini Split Systems Direct to complete the project.
It has worked great since I rectified my wiring mistake. It's only been in heat mode (Jan in NC), and generates impressive heat and airflow at next to zero noise. The condenser unit outside is also very quiet. Time will tell on the reliability and efficiency, but everything I've seen thus far makes me optimistic.

Efficient, compact, possible to DIY install
Pretty quiet and compact unit, managed to DIY install 3 ton myself including ductwork, custom plenums and new electrical / drainage / thermostat wiring in 3 full weekends. Quick connect lineset made this possible (no vacuum or soldering needed!) Seems to be pretty efficient so far (northern california climate)

Love being able to install all by myself.
I take pride in my work and feel confident that my install was done better then hiring an HVAC company. I know many in that profession get their feelings hurt when you bring up doing it yourself. Was quoted $9k for system replacement and I was able to do for less than $4k. This is not for your average DYI person as custom duct work and electrical upgrades will likely be needed. I had about 31 hours into this replacement. That includes tarring out, pouring concrete pad, custom duct work, electrical upgrades, and system calibration. If your line set length is going to be close I recommend going up a size. I had planned to have about 6ft extra but due to line hookup locations I had just the right amount.
I had to call Mini Split Systems Direct support to ask about my thermostat compatibility and they were helpful.

Exceeded Expectations
I'm very happy with the results of this unit. The ac works amazingly well compared to the older carrier air conditioner. The lines were very hard to bend without damage and I would suggest have a line-set with elbows where needed installed. The unit is very quiet and worked with my Nest Thermostat.

Very impressed with the ease of intall and quality
The item was shipped quickly and arrived ahead of schedule. Unfortunately, after unpacking I noticed some damage on the outdoor condensing unit. This was a little concerning because I had to install it pretty quickly in order to get the air back on. I contacted. Mini Split Systems Direct and they got back with me within a few hours. I sent them some photos and a description and they took care of it immediately. The new part was shipped free of charge and arrived. Just a couple of days later.
Everything has been installed and working perfectly, I’m very pleased with both the product and Mini Split Systems Direct for fixing an issue that they may not have even created. so often you have people passing the buck, but they took care of me and I thank them for that. I would not hesitate to order from them again.
As for the Mr. cool unit and line set, it did take two people to install it and a little bit of troubleshooting with the thermostat, but it is working perfectly now for the last couple of weeks even in quite hot weather. The inside unit is extremely quiet, I used it to replace an old air conditioner which was much louder.
Time will tell if the annual energy consumption/cost goes down and how long it will last, but the workmanship seems to be very high-quality.

DIY Gas Pack Conversion
I've done AC work in the past but not at this level. This DIY kit made it easier as the lines were already charged, and no vacuum needed. My challenge was removing an old 3-ton Rheem propane gas-pack (see pic) which was R-22 and installed in the mid 80's in my 1792 farmhouse.
It took weeks to complete because of the ductwork that needed to be removed from the crawlspace and I had to fabricate ductwork including the air handler now located in the house (see pic).
I waited right before summer to do this job and have lots of pics and info on the Levi Creecy website.
living in NC our winters are not terrible, so I did not buy the heat pump model and opted for the heat kit.
My old unit was 3 tons and ran on a 50 amp breaker, now runs on a 35 amp, This Mr. Cool is very quite in comparison, AC Outputs are very impressive. Yes, my electric bill went down this summer.
My SENSI smart thermostat had to be rewired and reprogramed however I'm not missing any functions/features.
