Domestic Shipping Policy

Shipment processing time

All orders made before 2:00 PM EST are processed within 2-3 business days. Items ordered on weekends (Saturday or Sunday) start to process and ship as early as the following business day.

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

Shipping rates & delivery estimates

We offer standard free shipping via UPS Ground, FedEx Ground, and Freight for all orders in the United States. We do not currently ship to international locations.

Shipment confirmation & Order tracking

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

Customs, Duties and Taxes

Mini Split Systems Direct is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).

Damages & Missing Items

Please inspect all packages for damaged or missing items before accepting your shipment. If any of the items are missing or appear to have any type of damage; Mark the Receipt Damaged and/or missing (write which items are missing, or damaged and describe the damage).


Only refuse the items that are damaged, keep and sign for the items that are in good condition and be sure to notate the items that are being refused for damages clearly on the delivery receipt. You must contact our Customer Service Department at info@minisplitsystemsdirect.com to report which product(s) were missing and/or refused for damages and which product(s) were accepted at the time of delivery. After our Shipping Department receives confirmation from the Freight LTL Company we will promptly ship out the replacement product(s) to you.

Although Mini Split Systems Direct is NOT responsible for shipping damage, if your item(s) do arrive damaged, please send photos to info@minisplitsystemsdirect.com  and we can assist with filing a claim against the shipping carrier to cover the cost of damages.

Any damages or missing items have to be noted on the delivery receipt prior to signing for and accepting your shipment in order to file a claim. Do not let the delivery driver rush you. It is your right to inspect each and every item.

Pre-Orders, Backorders, and Out-of-Stock Items:

Mini Split Systems Direct is dedicated to sourcing any item you may need and getting it to you as quickly as possible. Any items that are out of stock, or available for Pre-Order will be noted on the product page. You are welcome to place an order for Pre-Order items, backorder items, and for items that are out of stock, and will ship them the second they become available from the manufacturer, ensuring you get the item before anyone else. Returns

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused and in its original packaging.

All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee, and the purchaser is responsible for the cost of return shipping.

Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. A 15% restocking fee and the cost of return shipping will be deducted from the refundPlease allow up to 10 business days for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund to your account. Cancellations

All orders canceled after 24 hours are subject to a 5% administration fee, If your order has not been shipped yet, this is the only fee you will incur. This is a fee that covers administrative and personnel fees.

If your order has been shipped, you will not be charged a 5% administration fee, the standard return procedures will apply and you will be responsible for the cost of return shipping, and a 15% restocking fee will be ducted from your refund. Refunds will only be issued to the original payment method that you used when placing your order.

Nervous about the DIY aspect but it's FABULOUS

My husband and I could not stomach the HVAC companies wanting to charge us $2800-$3400 to install a mini split brand of their choice into our single room appication-a sun room with lots of windows. So we took the plunge, purchased the MR COOL 9000 BTU unit, watched every YouTube video around, hired electricians for $550 to do wiring AND drill the hole in the wall for the tubes. AND IT WORKED...we were sooo nervous; it took all week to get up the courage to do each step. But it is FANTASTIC....We ordered the housing to hide the lines, and will secure all the coils better. THANKS!!

Self Installation Quick & Easy

I bought both the Mr Cool Advantage 18k and 9K BTU Mini Split. It was very easy and quick to install after watching a few video tutorials and reading the instructions. Bought my own vacuum pump to perform the air evacuation step so it was not necessary to hire an HVAC guy or electrician. If you are not experienced in AC systems or electrical work then I would suggest you hire someone. However, if you decide to buy your own vacuum pump and do the work yourself, the instructions are easy to understand if you have no previous experience. It’s been running for a few days now and the system is working great.

Had a professional AC company do the installation. Comes with 16FT tubing and electrical cord but had to buy a longer length, 25 ft, since the outside unit had to be installed at a more convenient location. Also had to buy duct work for the tubing and wall mount support. The unit did come precharged with freon but since I had to get a longer AC tubing, additional freon had to be installed. Overall the unit works very well.

Works Great in Garage

We moved my office to the garage last fall and installed this unit for climate control. The garage is attached to our house but there is another garage in between that is not climate controlled so there is no heat or a/c reaching the office. I had no issue keeping my office warm over the cold Ohio winter, even when the temperature dropped into single digits. I wanted to wait until I used the a/c before I reviewed it and it did not disappoint. No issues keeping it cool. I highly recommend.

Very Happy!

We have had this system for over a year now. I don't think there has been very many days that it has been turned off. We love it! The filters are easy to remove, clean and reinstall. Super quite, even the outdoor unit. We will be purchasing a bigger one for the livingroom in the near future. I wished we had done this a log time ago.
