Welcome to minisplitsystemsdirect.com. This website is owned and operated by Mini Split Systems Direct LLC ("MSSD," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or making a purchase on our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. General Use & Eligibility

By using this Site, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at our discretion.

2. Product Information & Pricing Accuracy

We strive for complete accuracy in product specifications, BTU/SEER2 ratings, images, and pricing. However, typographical errors or manufacturer specification updates may occur. MSSD reserves the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information on the Site is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after an order has been submitted).

3. Freight & LTL Shipping & Delivery Terms

Due to the size and weight of HVAC equipment (mini split heat pumps, condensers, air handlers, furnaces), orders ship via Freight / Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) carriers:

  • Curbside Delivery Standard: Freight deliveries include standard curbside delivery with liftgate service (where applicable). The driver will move the shipment to the end of your driveway or curb. Inside delivery or installation is not included.
  • Mandatory Delivery Inspection Protocol: The recipient must inspect the exterior of all pallets, boxes, and equipment prior to signing the carrier's Bill of Lading (BOL).
  • Damage Notation Requirement: If visible carton or equipment damage is present, you MUST clearly note the specific damage on the BOL before signing. Contact MSSD customer support immediately at 1-562-206-9481.

4. HVAC Equipment Installation & EPA Disclaimer

HVAC systems containing compressed refrigerant (such as mini split heat pumps, central split systems, and condensers) involve high voltage and pressurized refrigerant. Federal law (EPA Section 608) and manufacturer policies require that refrigerant-bearing systems be installed by a licensed HVAC professional. Self-installation or unlicensed installation may void manufacturer warranty coverage.

5. Returns & Refunds

All returns and order cancellations are subject to our published Return & Refund Policy. Returns require prior authorization (RMA) and must be submitted within 30 days of delivery in original, unopened packaging.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mini Split Systems Direct LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the purchase, installation, or use of any product sold on this Site.

7. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
