Goodman Freeze Protection Kit - FSK01A
This kit consists of a line thermostat which installs on one of the feeders to the suction manifold for the indoor coil. The twenty-four volt cooling lead from the room thermostat to the outdoor unit must run through the line thermostat. If an operating condition is reached in which freeze up of the indoor coil is imminent, then the line thermostat will disconnect the cooling signal to the outdoor unit and prevent the indoor coil from freezing. Two operating conditions which may cause freeze up are a very dirty return air filter or the loss of the indoor blower.
