Pro-Installer Tip
The quick-connect, self-sealing companion valves eliminate the need for a vacuum pump on the factory-charged 16.4 ft run — but the fittings still depend on a clean, unkinked line set to seal properly. A sharp bend near the wall penetration can restrict flow or crack the flare seat over time, leading to slow refrigerant loss and eventual "E1"-type communication faults between indoor and outdoor units. Use a line set bending mandrel to form gentle radius turns rather than hand-bending the copper. This keeps the R32 charge sealed at the rated <651 PSIG design pressure and preserves the system's published SEER2 22.5 efficiency rating over the life of the unit.
